Unfabricate

Begin where suffering is made.

See contact, feeling, fabrication, and the moment a second arrow begins.

Opening words

Welcome to Unfabricate. This is a quiet companion for the Buddha’s path to the end of suffering.

Practice begins where suffering is made: in this living moment of contact, feeling, and the mind’s next move.

A sensation is felt. A thought appears. A mood takes shape. Then the mind may add wanting, resistance, fear, blame, or a story of self. Here, we learn to see that making clearly.

When a link is known, it does not have to be fed. Sit with the breath. Know feeling as feeling. Notice what the mind is building. Choose the next harmless response.

This is not a place to measure yourself, fix yourself, or become someone special. It is a simple training in clear seeing, wise abandoning, and release.

Feel it. Know it. Do not build on it. Unfabricate!

In practice

Use this when contact has already happened and the mind is beginning to add wanting, resistance, or self.

Move 1

Meet what arrived

A sight, sound, body sensation, mood, memory, or thought is known.

Move 2

Know the tone

Pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral feeling is noticed before the story takes over.

Move 3

See the making

Wanting, resisting, blaming, rehearsing, or making self is recognized.

Move 4

Leave it unfed

One clean next move is chosen: pause, speak truthfully, step away, rest, or return to the breath.
