COHERENCE NIKOLAI
Apps for attention, steadiness, study, ritual, and return.
A small family of private instruments for the states people actually live inside: listening, studying, steadying, practising, and returning with more coherence.
Founder note
About Coherence Nikolai.
I’m Nikolai, founder of Coherence Nikolai and creator of the Tone app family.
All of my creations are aimed at coherence and tone: the felt sense of things becoming more honest, more integrated, and more alive, I’m interested in contemplation, self-inquiry, consciousness, and the small shifts of attention that change how we meet ourselves and the world.
I create quiet private tools for noticing mind states, returning to clarity, and living with more presence. All in order to support the raising of the frequency for these evolving times.
As an academic skills advisor, I also support people to think, write, learn, and move through complexity with more confidence and coherence.
Tone apps
Private apps for sound, ritual, and return.
Tone Recall, Tone Steady, Tone Ritual, Tone Threshold, and Tone Mirror are calm, privacy-first tools for noticing state, shaping response, and returning with more coherence.
Sota stream entry
A quiet guide for serious practice.
Sota is a practice companion for sitting, noting, tracking insight stages, and finding your place on the path toward stream entry.
Use the web version in your browser, or open the iPhone app for a more native practice instrument.
Student support
Focused support for study and re-entry.
Scaffold and Northstar sit outside the Tone family: free support tools for starting, regulating, planning, repairing, and returning to unfinished work without shame mechanics.
Executive-function rescue
Not reminders. Rescue.
A local-first rescue engine for stuck moments: name the messy task, find the likely block, choose one physical next action, and re-enter without explanation.
Turn messy input into the next physical action.
Write a two-sentence holding reply. Do not overexplain.
Academic support
A calmer way to start and stay oriented.
A free, no-payment study companion for neurodivergent students: one small move, one clear next step, and a saved place to return to.
Turn a vague academic task into one small action the student can begin.
Choose 10/3, 25/5, or 40/10 without making the timer feel like a demand.
Keep the useful bits, next step, notes, and support contacts in one place.
Earlier student tools
Earlier support tools.
These older web tools stay available as light companions for re-entry, planning, pattern finding, and finding the next workable step.
Coherence Lab
The wider lab.
These tools began as experiments in attention, breath, pattern, learning, and regulation. Some become full apps. Others remain simple web instruments for the moment when the path needs to get smaller.
Archive
Open experiments and earlier instruments.
A quieter shelf of practice and perception tools from the lab. They remain open as small companions for breath, focus, attention, and return.
